Bill,
I just switched to a new server and got some problems - am not getting any
e-mail from the group. Was in limbo for 2 days with no mail and had problems
with my website as well. Anyway, re your comments about MD's you are
entitled to your opinion and I respect that. I am just sad that your
experience with doctors have given you cynical viewpoint of them. I wish you
luck in your search for a good doctor. BTW, I just want to comment that the
Florone ointment is a potent cortisone topical. If your derm consents to
give it to you for the lips, be very careful using it. My suggestion is to
try using just a good lip lubricant as many times as you need to. I found
the Bag Balm, a veterinarian product used for horses' hoof (no kidding)
quite helpful for dry cracked accutane lips. This comes in a big jar. You
can purchase this from any pharmacy. Buy a small sample empty container
(clean it well) scoop out a small amount of bag balm and carry that with
you. Apply as many times as you need to. This is very inexpensive and quite
soothing. Good luck.

Cindy,
Thanks for the info on the Florone ointment for the lips. I'll call tomorrow
and see if I can get some. I dont care for the side effects of this Accutane! (
and Im on a mild dosage. I couldnt imagine a stronger one!). Did your son have
trouble sleeping while on it? I know that it can cause fatigue, but with me I
feel restless and edgy. The mood swings are a great experience also! Is your
son improving any since taking Accutane? I hear that it can take months before
there is an improvement. I notice Im not getting "the bumps" as much but other
than that I dont notice much of anything ( and Ive been on 30mg a day for
almost a month now) other than these side effects.
