[rosacea] accutane and metrocream/metrogel

Hi,

I tried a variety of antibiotics for my acne component of rosacea and
minocycline had the best effect. But the results were nevertheless insufficient
so I decided to try Accutane. In spite of the side effects experienced during
the five months of treatment, - most of the time on highest dose permitted
according to weight -, I'm glad I went through with it. It's been more then six
months now since I finished the course and the acne has totally disappeared.

I have enough problems though with flushing, redness, burning and ocular
symptoms - but it was a big relief to get rid of the pimples and the oily skin.

I use metrocream almost daily - and will have my Photoderm treatment in the
beginning of June. I have already had my test spots and that went well. I was
supposed to have my first treatment in the beginning of this month but due to
personal reasons I had to postpone it for a few weeks.

I will keep you posted on how it all goes.

Best wishes, Thor.
