[rosacea] solar elastosis rosacea granuloma basal cell carcinoma

Hi- Re the red spot on your nose which has been persistent for 3 years, I
suggest that you show this lesion to your dermatologist just to play it safe.
It may just be a solar elastosis or a rosacea granuloma which are both benign
but a "pimple" that does not heal may be a basal cell carcinoma which is a form
of sun-induced skin cancer. Although it is not usually life threatening, it
should nevertheless be taken care of. Be sure to point the exact lesion to your
derm and tell him/her that it hasn't gone away like the other bumps. He/she may
suggest a biopsy to check this.

Regarding your fatigue, did you tell your internist about it? Seems like it is
more than what most people endure - since you need to take caffeine pills to
pep you up.

I have had a small red spot on the tip of my nose for the last
three years and it won't go away, no matter what I put on it.
I am baffled by this. All other red spots have gone away when
treated. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Coffee definitely is a no-no for me. I have been using No-doz
caffeine pills. But they may be causing red spots that might
not occur if I stopped the Caffeine pills. I have a big problem
with fatigue. Do you think caffeine pills definitely worsen
rosacea problems????
